    Just Okay..

I had not been confident that I would really like this particular brand new series due to the fact turned out on the market, consequently I proceeded to go the graphical novel path for a change. Excellent storyline that basically joined together. The pictures had been exceptionally well performed at the same time.....along with the conclusion that does not make you hanging as some graphical books have a tendency to carry out....I would suggest it in case you are undecided regarding the series!

    Did not like it!!

I should have known but did not realize it was a comic book. And I must say that reading a comic on the Nook or Nook Color is not a fun experience. I returned it.

Good Addition to the Series as a Graphic Novel

This is a story after the first book, Witch & Wizard. It is the continued story of two young adults, Whit and Wisty, and a group of other teenagers that are being hunted down by the New Order. This edition has Wisty, Whit, and Byron Swain breaking into the New Orders building and stealing a hard drive that has information that they need to have.

After learning what the New Order is up to, the teenagers break up into two groups. One is to go to the Shadowlands and recruit as many half-lights as possible while the other group is to find out about some devices that are being made.

I admit that I have not read the Witch & Wizard series yet so I didn't know what to expect. I recommend that you do so, it make everything easier to understand. From there, this is a short graphic novel, one edition. The artwork is standard graphic novel. I got this as an Adobe Digital Edition and tried to put it on my Nook. You are not going to be able to read this with the Nook or Kindle. I just read it off my computer.

In the end, I am interested in the rest of the story so I will be reading Witch & Wizard at some point and will probably get a subscription to the graphic novel. If you follow the series, I think this is a good way to add to it if you like graphic novels.

I received this free from netGalley in exchange for an honest review.

    It's ok....not the best though :-/

So I read Witch & Wizard and the Gift. Both are very detailed and well written, so of course I had high expectations for the comic. I am sorry to say that, I was disappointed. The plot isn't major and the cartoons seem unrealistic. I mean seriously, When do the characters have pink and purple hair??? Wisty looks fine in design, but Whit looks like Hulk...I thought he was suppose to look like a high school athlete, not a huge guy with big muscles! Well, it was certainly interesting to read/look at, but I wouldn't buy it. Just check it our from the library or spend 30 minutes at a bookstore reading it, it's not that long.

Great / easy read, from start to finish

i amn a 46 year old male that dosent read on a regular basis. i found the witch and wizard and the gift great and smooth reading.
i reccommend this series to any one that likes to get caught up in a book with the time to read it in one or two sittings.
it will draw you and and you wont be able to put it down until your finished and then you will be on the web searching to see when the next one is due on the market.

    I Also Recommend:

    Witch and Wizard

James Patterson's writing has always been wonderful until he began to collaborate with different ones. I don't even order anymore if it is a collaboration

    Graphic Novel is a hit!

I wasn't sure if I'd like this new series since it seemed out there, so went the grphic novel route for a change. Great storyline that really came together. The illustrations were very well done also.....and the ending doesn't leave you hanging as some graphic novels tend to do....I recommend it if you're on the fence about the series!

    Read the first one

At first I was not sure if I would enjoy this series. I read all the time and have a wide variety that I choose from. After reading the first book I am completely hooked on this series and on James Patterson. I would encourage anyone who is looking to get away from the stress and the craziness of our everyday lives to read James Patterson's books. He is fantastic!!!

highly recommended for anyone with a sense of style and grace.

Patterson has done it again. I don't usually read graphic novels, but I read this one for several reasons---first of all, my students expect me to be able to critique books in my classroom library before they read them. second, I have never read a Patterson book I didn't enjoy, and third, it has provided some much needed information needed to really understand and enjoy the series. This book may be aimed at children, but it can be fun for all ages.

    Don't waste your time

This book is written in a horrible style. I wondered after the first few pages if it was a child's book. Don't waste your time, but if you do it will only take you a day or two.
