My daughter received this as a Christmas gift, and I almost fain

My daughter received this as a Christmas gift, and I almost fainted! It is beautiful, and I love that she is already being introduced to classic literature. She's named a babydoll Jane Eyre, and I couldn't be happier!

Fun, beautiful counting board book!

I can't even take it. How precious are these books?? The Baby Lit books are described as "A Series of Board Books for Brilliant Babies," but I think parents (any adult, for that matter) would get just as much enjoyment out of them as babies would, if not more. The books incorporate some of the major aspects of each story and bring them to life with charming illustrations. Little Miss Bronte, or "Jane Eyre, a counting primer," seems to be geared a bit more towards adults with a particular affinity for the original story. While children would certainly enjoy counting along with the objects in the book, younger children might not be able to name some of the objects on their own (such as "governess," "trunks," and "towers"). The colors are darker, which fits perfectly with the story, but may not be as appealing to some parents and children alike. But for a parent who wanted to introduce their young child to their favorite work of classic literature, I think this board book would become something very special for both of them. This fun, beautiful Baby Lit book will be staying on my shelf until I have little readers of my own! { I received this book and Little Master Carroll for free in exchange for an honest review. Great way to teach kids!

In Jane Eyre, you can count different important items from the famous book by the same name. The short quotes and iconic elements from Jane Eyre made it easy for me to explain a little about the story to my children. The board book does a great job at evoking the romantic feel of Jane Eyre in terms of the muted colors and the lovely drawings (some of which are quite detailed). I really liked the drawing of the four towers of the majestic Thornfield Hall. What an excellent way to introduce children to classic literature!

A Lilac Wolf and Stuff Review

Prepare for the gush. Look at those covers, the entire books are like that. I love reading picture books with my boys, but you rarely find something that tickles your own personal style so much. Alice in Wonderland is a color primer, with the colorful characters and colors on every page. Though the blue catepillar is not really "blue" and the orange cat with the pink background is hard to see. But the pictures are so cute, and Ivan adores it. He even gets it, the 2 I thought would be difficult he nailed the first try.

Little Miss Bronte Jane Eyre has this baby-goth thing going on. I fell in love! I have got to give Bronte another chance. I have lumped her in with Jane Austen...perhaps that isn't fair. Jane Eyre is a counting primer. It has the number and then the item being counted. On the other side is a gorgeous picture. "1 GOVERNESS" AND "6 CHALKBOARDS" up to 10. The chalkboards have some lessons written on them. At 10 there are books numbered 1 through 10, Gulliver's Travels is the only title...I wonder if that classic was mentioned within Jane Eyre. I'd have to look up when each was written.

So, get these for your baby? They won't teach your kids to love the great classics, but they will be educational and eye catching just the same. Your little ones will enjoy them. Just ask Ivan, who is pulling me away from the computer as I type begging me to read them again, which I am now going to do!

Great for small children!

How cute are these books? Seriously! Baby Lit Books take these well known classics and turn them into something that every baby would love. The pictures are bursting with character and color. They teach counting and colors. Reading this book to your child will give them their first introduction to classic literature but in a very fun way. The Baby Lit series includes: Alice in Wonderland, Jane Eyre, Romeo and Juliet, and Pride and Prejudice. I only wish that this series was available when my kids were babies. These books are adorable.

These are the sweetest board books I have ever laid eyes on! L

These are the sweetest board books I have ever laid eyes on!
Looking at these book-covers via online does not do them any justice at all! The coloring is gorgeous - vibrant and eye catching! The quality of these books just blows my mind - they are so sturdy, and definitely kid friendly.

But what I adore the most - the theme to these books!
I am a huge Alice in Wonderland fan - all of the main characters make their appearance in this book, each taking a turn teaching your bundle of joy different colors through Alice in Wonderland inspired illustrations. And these pictures are all so cute and captivating!
The same goes for the counting book inspired by Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre!
Where your child will learn how to count using elements from the classic novel itself!
The last page, #10, is my most favorite :)

These books are the perfect way to introduce your little ones to your favorite classics! and for any age too!!!
My boys are now 5 and 8, they had so much fun looking through both of these - they instantly recognized each of the Alice inspired pages and what part of the story it belonged too. And really enjoyed Jane Eyre too, even though they don't know the story yet, they loved the illustrations and what we were counting... did I mention that they're 5 and 8 already, lol! No matter what age, we all know a good book when we see one ;)

I have to admit, I will be buying these two books to add to my collection!
Yes, for me! I can't stop looking at them, they're so precious and will look so pretty sitting on my classic literature shelf :)
