    Jann Arden

This Canadian singer who came on to the scene back in the early to mid 90's with the smokey, biting & excellent single "Insensitive" seemed to be quickly relegated to the has been bin here in the states(so typical). Jann Arden's been a huge star in Canada for years and has so many wonderful CD's out, every one of them has somthing special and this new one(Imported???) is Jann Arden getting back to business and creating another winner, she teams up with Russell Broom who helps write, produce and engineers this wonderful new collection. Radio in the states(Triple A) in particular, needs to pick up on this. Jann Arden has a great voice and is the funniest singer I've heard from in years, multi-talented singer-songwriter.

    Jann Arden

Still embodying the spirit of great singers lost over the years such as Karen Carpenter and the likes of Dusty Springfield, Petula Clark this Canadian singer has one the most pure radio friendly voices out there. She usually writes or co writes all her material and is one of the funniest, hard working entertainers on the planet. In a time of such complete lack of original personalities and all the fake one offs, this singer is the real thing, shes earned everything shes achieved, she focuses much of her talents at an almost spiritual, personal lonely side and hits deep with her lyrics of looking inside yourself to find the real person. She has made many fans of her work because she is fed up with the music industry and asks fans to take her as she is..not many like Jann Arden anymore. She isn't only about sad, lonely tales, she can bite with her wit and she can rock it as well. This latest Arden gem is full of clever lyrics and she and her writing partner, Russell Broom have come up with an outstanding collection of sounds. Lyric page is all over the place not the easiest to read but thats minor, Jann Arden needs to get a US release of this and back on the radio charts. Triple A formats need to play her music as well. One of the most original talents to come out of the 90's and still making music the right way, features the top 10 Canadian smash hit "Where no one knows me", that says it all and needs to be changed here in the states.
