Having taken a beginning course in JAVA that did not require OOP or C++, most of us struggled. Our required text was Deitel & Deitel which most classmate didn't like. I picked up a couple of other JAVA books and could find pieces of material understandable and helpful. I opened this book at the end of course and finished it afterwards. Many JAVA concepts were exemplified clearly and concisely. I wish I had started reading this book at the beginning of the course. Book does not include swing. This is a book that you can go through cover to cover successfully. Emphasis on on GUI building. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
