Great book for beginners or those looking to brush up..

This was the textbook for my Introduction to CIS course, and I had no prior programming experience. I pretty much used this book as my sole guide through the course, as my professor was not helpful. There are plenty of lengthy examples to help you understand the material in practice. I also liked how the author often used the same examples to teach new concepts, rewriting the code to emphasize that chapter's lesson. Overall, a really great java book that I continue to keep around as a reference a year later for my subsequent courses.
