Overview

When I lived in Cave Creek, Arizona I photographed wildlife from the windows of our earth-bermed home. Javelinas intrigued me. In Sedona photographer Al Brown photographed the ones in his yard. We captured them eating, napping, anxious, looking fierce and protective. We also included photos of other animals including a coyote, bobcat, roadrunner, squirrel, turtle and the lush Sonoran Desert. The title itself is the common name of the collared peccary, but the pronunciation is difficult for some English-speakers. The "Have-uh-WHAT?˘" subtitle leads to the first paragraph, which contains a phonetic pronunciation guide (Have-uh-LEE-nah).
