If the demands of the ransom note aren't met, the whole school is going to learn that Benny plays with dolls. What does the kid, er-uh, doll-napper want in return? I truly enjoyed reading this book. It was captivating and kept your interest. Philips did a great job introducing the characters and scenes with just enough information to keep your attention: yet, he didn't bore you with too many details. I think this book will appeal to all kids, but especially the young men looking for a good read.

A Great Read! A Fun Adventure! Reminiscent of the Greats in the Genre! It's good to see the genre continue with new series, and fresh characters for a new generation of readers, and I'm sure that young Walker will take his rightful place among the children's mystery series. An added pleasure to the book is the story illustrations by Dustin Evans, who contributed twenty interior illustrations, plus the cover for the book!
