I owned this album as a college student, when it first came out as an LP. Having just broken up with a guy I cared about the opening song Free Again had so much meaning. The way she expresses herself in this and all the other songs is very soulful and even today, decades later, I find it still inspiring. Much of it is in French, which I don't speak or understand, but all of the songs are articulated SO clearly. You feel like you can follow every word. I was amazed to discover I love the entire album as much now, as then.

Great album,...showing Barbra at her youthful expressiveness and creative forte. But,..4 of the 5 clips on the BN listing are playing the incorrect clips,...don't judge this album,..until you hear it in its complete form,...it's worth every cent.
