If she is determined toget to california ON HER OWN...then she doesnt need to be wirh the wagon train. Many writers make the heroine out to be know it all stubborn woman but do not use common sense. Like...she knows she paid wagonmaster for safety to cal. But thinks he shouldnt tell her things to do or not to do for the sake of her and the train. He is the one that is responsible for her safety.
