    an amazing album

this is jeff's 3rd album, but it is the first to be called (jeff bates) and i believe it is truly is best work to date.with the first to albums both rca they leaned on the conway/elvis sound.but this one the first for his new label, brmg and indy label out of nashville showcases all of jeff's talents as a singer as well as a song writer.you will find that you can't get the tracks out of your head not that you would want to.a must have album for any music fan who is tired of the cookie cutter albums coming out of music city.

    THE summer soundtrack right here

This is just a top notch CD from start to finish. From the all too often muttered here "I Can't Have Nothin'Nice" to the last track "Somebody's Fallin In Love" it's solid country with a meaning. There's a meaning behind the songs and on ones like "He Wasn't Like Us" it's not until near the end you get the full impact of it. As co-writer on several songs as well as performer Jeff Bates has outdone himself on this cd. With a new musical tie in the Black River Music Group this cd belongs in the player, not on the shelf! Other highlights - the current single "Don't Hate Me For Lovin' You", "My Wave" and "Country Man."
