    Jeff Beck

Finally Jeff Beck is coming out as the real guitar God everyone failed to recognize in the last five decades and this book is amazingly detailed and helpful to help us understand and follow up the genius of Beck and how it survived through the maze of musical styles and personalities that pervaded the last fifty years. Annette Carson is a miracle of a writer too and both writer and subject find themselves in this book so precise and gloriously emotive to the pleasure of us the hard core fans of Beck who will toast to both Annette and Jeff, since now we know, ....we were right all these crazy years.

    Amust read for JB fans!

Although this claims it is 'unofficial' you would never know it. From someone born in 1944 war-torn England to the most recognizable guitarist in the world and the most respected by many: Clapton himself once wrote 'Jeff is the best, you know'. This covers his uprbringing to the 1999-2000 period in which he enjoyed more than modest popularity growth. It is a joy to read and there are so many interesting people and stories from musicians from around the world. I really recommend this not for just JB fans, but for fans of music. Outstanding.

Hits the nail on the head

A fantastic, well researched book about perhaps the greatest living rock guitarist. Jeff Beck has also moved into, and mastered, many other types of music and this is all covered in the book in great detail.
