Overview

“When the devil tells you to stop struggling, do you?”

The moment Eden wakes up she knows she’s not in Kansas anymore. She isn’t even on Mitch’s doorstep, Chastity’s favorite place to dump her off. No, she’s somewhere far worse. And far more sterile. Sometimes a girl needs to adapt, be flexible, change. And that’s exactly what Eden will do, all the way back to Mitch. No matter what she has to do to get there. Because his life depends on it.

Mitch has lost something he’d never thought he’d find to begin with. And “It’s better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all” is a lie. A lie people tell themselves to make the pain go away. But the pain doesn’t go away, not in someone like Mitch. It festers. It grows. Until it can’t be held back anymore, even by the bars of a cage.

*** Jekyll is a continuation of Mitch and Eden’s story and may prove confusing to those who haven’t read Book I. So why not go check it out? Heck, the first book is cheaper.

*** This novel is also intended for adults, as it includes lots of cursing, biting sarcasm, and some truly evil people.

Holy F-word! Amazing!!!

I don't know how Ms. Stewart does it but I felt like I was on an emotional roller coaster through this whole book! The angst is taken to an all new level in Jekyll. So many mysteries from book one are answered...but they only seem to bring up more questions. The merging of characters and the complete splitting of others, WOW! Jekyll's cast of characters are unforgettable!

Only question burning in my mind right now is...how long until I get my hands on BO
Goodreads - Michelle Hiranuma
I have waited, oh so patiently for Mitch and Eden to return... and the wait went without regret. The book picked up where Hyde, an Urban Fantasy left off. And just like that book, this has a totally tantalizing cliffhanger. You must read the first book to understand the second one. I don't want to give anything away. But, if you loved the first book, you have to read the second book. And if you haven't read the first book, well do it... then get the second.

Meet the Author

After earning degrees in Fine Arts and English, Lauren Stewart wanted to see the world. A lack of funds meant that she didn't get far. She spent two years traveling around Mexico, the Caribbean, and Canada--first as a choreographer and then as an English teacher--meeting folks from all the places she couldn't afford to go to. But that time was highly useful--she learned about herself, other people, and how insane life actually is.

Lauren reads in almost every genre. So naturally, her writing reflects that. With every book, every story, you'll find elements of other genres--fantasy, mystery, romance, paranormal, suspense, YA, women's literature, all with a touch of humor because what doesn't kill us, should make us laugh.

I was so excited to have the opportunity to read the continuatio

I was so excited to have the opportunity to read the continuation of Mitch's and Eden's story. If you've read Hyde, you know what I'm talking about! In this story, you will read so much more information about the 'Clinic' and there was a definite surprise on what's been there for many years, someone that Eden has no clue is there, or ok this is a little spoiler, whose alive.... Yeah that surprise even got me, and it's something, someone dark, that Mitch can be...forever...if he doesn't have to be so darn stubborn, and listen to Eden, on what he needs to be and stay Mitch...not Hyde. Anyway, as these two lovers meet again, it's definitely explosive, but the Jekyll inside of Eden gets the best of her, and after that, Hyde insists that it's not his Eden that's inside her, so their reunion is not so great, but it does eventually take a while to create some sort of connection again.
In the beginning of the story, at times, I felt there was just a slow start up, but once you read it, because you just have to find out if Eden and Mitch are ever going to meet again, there is quite a flow, and there is the rude and oh so dark sense of humor of Mitch, that made me fall for him once again. The writing was once again quite wonderful, and the ending was wowza! It definitely kept me wanting me to read more, so again, I look forward to reading the next story, book 3, of which I hope will come out really really soon! :)
My Rating: 4.2/5Rated R! (Mature Language, Violent Content & Sexual Content) (18+)

Lets talk about how much I seriously love this series! It¿s so F

Lets talk about how much I seriously love this series! It’s so FANTASTIC! First, it’s so special and unique and it’s written so painfully beautiful. It’s not always happy but it’s wonderful. When Ms Lauren told me Jekyll was out- I had a brain loss moment and didn’t know that- and she offered me a copy… I very politely begged her to please please let me share it on my blog!! And then I believe I enthusiastically squealed liked a little piggie!  I loved Hyde so much. AND DID YOU SEE THAT COVER?!?!! She has definitely hit the jackpot with the covers for both books!

The story begins a few weeks after Eden’s kidnapping. She’s been in a coma and The Clinic has her. She knows something has changed but she’s in the process of figuring out exactly how she changed and what that might mean. And now The Clinic is telling her that she might be the answers to their prayers for fixing all Hyde and Jekylls! I still really love Eden. I love her will, her heart, and I love that she has grown and is still growing so much. I love her internal struggles with trying to do what’s right for her vs what’s right for everyone else.

Mitch is still Mitch, except that now, losing Eden is literally tearing him apart, from the inside and he realized how big of a $&:&:@ he was! People sometimes make such selfish decisions! I’m still trying not to throttle him! And poor Landon- he’s the cop who investigated Mitch the whole first book- has now become Mitch’s only ally. He wants to help rescue Eden. And no matter what he says, he cares for both Mitch and Eden. I personally like Landon. I like so much about him.

I have bad moments and words for The Clinic Staff. They want what they want and they don’t care who they hurt to get it. I’m no longer a fan of Carter either… But this is besides the point. I wanna say a few things about the writing. This author’s writing is like trudging through a heavy rain storm and then having the sun break through to give you warm beautiful rays of sunshine. At first, it’s dark and wet, and then you realize the darkness is still beautiful because lightning and rain and clouds have a Beauty of its own… And then you are so immensely grateful for that sunshine that you just want to revel in its warm comforting embrace… Maybe I’ve scared some of you, but I happen to love rain storms and I put this author’s writing in my ABSOLUTELY LOVE category. It’s amazing how words can transform you into a wonderful place and this author does this beyond belief. Ms Lauren, since I teased you and made you wait- I want you to know you have a fan for life in me! THANK YOU many times over for giving me something so magnanimous! 5 TRANSFORMING PAINFUL GORGEOUS PAWS from me… I seriously hope you send me an email for book three!! I’ll love you forever… Wait- I already do

After reading the first one, I immediately bought this one. It wasn't a disappointment. I think I did miss a little of the interaction between Eden and Mitch, but it was a necessary part of the plot and build up, so the author is forgiven. Waiting patiently, or rather impatiently for the next one. Gotta see what happens next!  Love Landon's characters, too!

    Pleasantly surprised!

I must say, Jekyll surpassed my expectations. I was a little disappointed with Hyde, but I decided to continue with the series and I am so glad I did. Jekyll was great, it had comedy, action, sex, and twists and turns. Mitch and Landon are hilarious together. This book just solidified Mitch as one sexy mofo..

Whew... I just finished reading this FABULOUS book! Another one by Lauren Stewart that I could not put down. Such an amazing writer and storyteller! Jekyll kept me on the edge of my seat, afraid to reach the end of the book.. fear of it being over! I love the characters in this series, even the ones I can't stand. Ha ha. Jekyll picked up right where Hyde left off, and I can't wait to read what happens next! Seriously, everyone needs to purchase Hyde and Jekyll! Read it, love it, get into the world of Mitch and Eden!

    Great read

WOW! There was so much going on in this book, not so much to confuse the reader but enough to give the reader a glimpse of what The Clinic is really after. I love Eden's new 'self', even if she was trying to be all self-righteous and got herself in trouble because of it. That part of her annoyed me, but the rest of the story flowed really nicely. Mitch is still the same lovable as*hole from book one, except now he's changed because instead of being an aggressive d*ck all the time, he's an aggressive d*ck whose in love and has a BFF...lol!

I really want to know who is behind The Clinic and so far Ms. Stewart has made it her mission to keep us guessing, I'm hoping we finally get to see who the mystery man is in book three, along with more of Mitch's witty sarcasm, Eden's newfound self, more of their amazingly hot sexual chemistry and more of Nick's story/help.

FYI: Book two also ends on a cliffhanger, so again...be prepared to purchase book three to continue on this amazing journey..

The book had a slow start, and hit slow spot in other places, but was definitely a great read - another page turner. The ending has me reaching for book 3 to find out what the heck happens to Mitch! Loved the humor and sarcasm. I do hope it has a happy ending after all the pain...

I loved Hyde and couldn't wait to read Jykell. The relationship between Landon and Mitch was so sarcastic and funny.  Very entertaining. I can't wait for book 3.
