Overview

Jessie Bluefeather Holgrave is thrilled when her best friend Ellen gives birth to an adorable baby girl. She'd love to find a great man like Ellen's husband, Mike, and settle down but the past has taught her to be wary of men - especially men in uniform.

So when Mike arrives at the hospital with flowers and a new co-worker in tow, Jessie decides she's not interested. However, Marsh Abbott, a Texas Ranger, is blond and blue-eyed, and Jessie can almost picture him in the role of husband, in spite of her fears.

Marsh is immediately struck by the raven-haired beauty before him. He'd like to get to know her, but she doesn't seem interested. Yet he is both patient and persistent. Marsh wants to prove that he's worthy of her, even though he is a lawman.

When his job takes him away and into danger, Jessie is both surprised and frightened by the depth of her feelings. Will Marsh be able to prove himself to her before she closes him out forever?

Meet the Author

Cheri Jetton has long enjoyed reading romance novels. She says the assured happy ending has always provided her with a welcome escape. She began writing romance ten years ago when an idea just wouldn't leave her alone. The following year she joined Romance Writers of America and discovered all the things she had done wrong. The rest, she says, is history.

Cheri reports that her two sons and two daughters are now grown, and the grandchildren are putting their parents through the paces. She insists this is the best revenge.

    Jessie and the Ranger

If no one has had the opportunity to read Jessie and the Ranger, I would suggest get a copy, sit back in a chair and read this great love story. The way Ms. Jetton has written the characters of Jessie and Marsh is something that will tug at your heart. It is truly a wonderfully written romantic story. A person can't help but fall in love with the characters in this book. The depth of the love that the two search for when they finally are really able to admit it, is so touching. It even goes to show us that no matter how truly we do love a person, one should never jump to conclusions until they hear the complete end of the matter. Sometimes we learn the hard way. Yet love has a way of helping us to conquer some of our fears. Ms. Jetton has written a most remarkable book. Jessie and The Ranger deserves a sixteen stars!!!!!!! It is great! Cheri Jetton has a way with words. Be sure to get a copy, it will make you feel warm inside. An outstanding book.
