Overview

Edgar Cayce (1877-1945) has been called "the Sleeping Prophet," "the father of Holistic medicine," "the miracle man of Virginia Beach," and "the most documented psychic of all time." During Cayce's lifetime, he gave more than 14,000 psychic readings that discussed an amazing 10,000 different subjects. One of these subjects was the life, times, and meaning of the life of Jesus.

The Edgar Cayce readings present Jesus' life as having meaning for every soul in the earth, not simply for those who call themselves Christian. With this in mind, Cayce called Jesus our "Elder brother"-a soul who came to show each one of us the way back to our spiritual Source by perfectly manifesting universal laws. Regardless of our religious or personal beliefs, this Christ pattern exists in potential upon the very fiber of our being. It is that unique portion of each of us that remains in perfect accord with the Creator and is simply waiting to find expression in the earth.

One of the readings describes it in this manner: "For the Master, Jesus, even the Christ, is the pattern for every man in the earth, whether he be Gentile or Jew, Parthenian or Greek. For all have the pattern, whether they call on that name or not."

Jesus' life of service provides an example for all of humankind, and each of us will ultimately be challenged to fulfill that same pattern in our lives. The Cayce readings in this book can help to provide insights into your life and your own patterns. It can also be used as a daily devotional-a wonderful reminder of your wondrous potential.
