As a child, Monique loved drawing, imagining and creating.

When she came to the crossroads of choosing a career path it became clear that becoming an illustrator was where her heart had always been leading her. At age 19 Monique headed off to the beautiful city of Cape Town, South Africa, where she studied animation at City Varsity. There she discovered the magic of storytelling! She was then employed by one of the only animation companies in South Africa at the time, Clockwork Zoo. She had the opportunity to work on an animation for the Disney channel called “Florrie’s Dragons”. Today Monique is a freelance illustrator and her passion is creating images that encompass light, life, warmth and color.
