Meet the Author

Robert Macklin is a West Point graduate, retired Lieutenant Colonel, who turned to acting following retirement. Husband, Father of four, Grandfather of seven, and a Great Great Grandfather. He currently resides in the San Fernando Valley in California, surrounded by family.


The writer of four one-man plays, in which he has performed for over twenty five years, in more than 1500 performances, before more than 180,000 people. These plays are: ALL THINGS TO ALL MEN, The Life of St. Paul; ROAD TO BETHANY..The Passion Play; PATRIARCHS’ SONG, PART II, JACOB-ISRAEL; and TELL IT ON THE MOUNTAIN..MOSES,


Having inhabited the character of Jesus over three hundred times in his one-man play, ROAD TO BETHANY; and after his visit to Israel, following Desert Storm, he decided to write a book about Jesus’ last year on earth.


JESUS : THE FINAL JOURNEY resulted from this, which in turn is published by PublishAmerica.


Robert hopes that, by combining scripture and his personal reflection on these last days, the reader will gain an insight into the mind-set of Jesus during those turbulent times, and enjoy a greater understanding of the humanity of Jesus and the sacrifice made on our behalf.
