Based on Pope Benedict XVI's weekly teaching on the relationship between Christ and the Church, this book tells the drama of Jesus' first disciples - his Apostles and their associates - and how they spread Jesus' message throughout the ancient world. Great History Lesson!

This book is a brief collection of 'speeches' that Pope Benedict XVI gave. Each chapter is a single speech dedicated to an apostle or to an aspect of Christianity. No one knows the history of the church better than the pope, and he does a good job of explaining it in a way that is easily understood in addition to including some advice for us to strengthen our faith. This is a very well written, little known book.
