Overview

"Our Lord's descent from the holy heights of the Mount of Transfiguration was more than a physical return from greater to lesser altitudes; it was a passing from sunshine into shadow, from the effulgent glory of heaven to the mists of worldly passions and human unbelief; it was the beginning of His rapid descent into the valley of humiliation."
~ James E. Talmage.

First published in 1915, Jesus the Christ is the classic Latter-day Saint presentation of the life and ministry of the Savior.

Elder Marion G. Romney said, "One who gets the understanding, the vision, and the spirit of the resurrected Lord through a careful study of the text Jesus the Christ by Elder James E. Talmage will find that he has greatly increased his moving faith in our glorified Redeemer."

This book is a must read!

I'm very pleased to have this in my tablet. I'm almost finished reading it for the second time in the hard copy - 1 chapter to go. It's going to be so convenient now, having it in my tablet. It comes with all the author's notes (commentaries) and footnotes at the ends of the chapters, just like the hard copy. Elder Talmage helps bring so much to light. This book is a great way to get to know our Savior better! Such an inexpensive way to gain such valuable knowledge!

Exactly what I was looking for

I wanted a reference for Christ and his life. A timeline of sorts written in a language I could understand and this was perfect.

    Phenomenal Book

I challenge you to see if you can read this book only once! Like I did, I bet you'll read it again and again. If you are a Christian, or want to learn more about Christ, this is the place.

    An Amazing Edition - Thanks!

    What a great Edition!

Hardcover Durability, with large enough font size to make reading comfortable, unlike the tiny-print Missionary Reference Library editions.

In a house full of kids, the durability is really, really helpful.
    Thanks! :-)

VERY INTERESTING - I Like it!

I haven't read but a couple of chapters so far but I wanted to say that I have found this book to be strangely PEACEFUL. A surprisingly breath of fresh air, going to continue reading for more info and knowledge.

    LDS Book

This book is on the LDS version of Jesus which is not the Biblical Jesus. In fact in Mormonism Jesus and Lucifer are actually siblings! There are better books on Jesus out there. By Philip Yancey and Mark Driscoll to name two.
