    Great Gems.

This book was great. If U R interested in making Ur own jewels this book gives U great information 2 get U started. It was educational in that it tells U much needed info. on choosing materials 2 work with and places 2 get Ur materials as well as websites 2 check out. Also, another great feature was the info. on how 2 start Ur own business of jewelry selling with all the legal info. explained plus where 2 start 2 receive assistance with the legal "stuff." It is a worthwhile book if U R seriously thinking of making Ur own gems 4 yourself and if U want 2 turn Ur hobby into a 4 profit ($$$) biz.

    Geared Towards Beads

This book was written for beading. If you are looking for for a book that teaches you how to wire wrap with stones or gems that are not beads this is not the book you want. If you are looking to make jewlery out of nothing but beads, then this book will work.

    Great for beginners

Excellent for learning about the different supplies used in bead and wire jewelry making. Illustrations are very helpful...and simple projects are mixed in to help the reader use what the reader just learned. It's a great reference book that I'll be using while I learn more about this craft. Recommended for beginners...most likely too basic for anyone with experience.

My only complaint is that the bead weaving instructions were hard to follow, and it would've been easier if there were photos (the illustrations were no help). Otherwise, I love this. It's great if you want to start learning about jewelry and how to make it. The info on beads was wonderful, and the wire-wrapping techniques look awesome (I can't wait to try them out).
