    Disappointing

As a whole, this is a disappointing read. I'm not entirely sure why ANY of these snippets would be considered a "gem".

    Short tibits

Short tibits of numerous books. Wish there was a list of all the books at end so a reader could then look up which book they would like to read rhe entire story.

Knew it was excerpts from the beginning so I wasn't disappointed

Knew it was excerpts from the beginning so I wasn't disappointed.  I have since purchased two of the complete novels.  Excellent opportunity to sample new authors.

    Disappointing

As a disappointing whole, I give the book 2.

Only one scene sparked my interest enough that I read it all the way through. The 3rd scene, from "The Devil of Kilmartin" by Lauren Wittig, was pretty good. I'm tempted to get the book so I can read more.
