Just finished my first project out of this book (French Quarter Lariat)! I love it! The directions are incredibly easy to understand and the projects are all versatile for more than simply necklaces. It challenges you to know a number of different stitches but makes each project fun & easy. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone wanting to advance their stitching techniques and the way they use rope styles. I initially thought this book would simply be ropes to hang pendants or focal pieces, but there is a wide variety of finished products that come out of this. They range in style as well as types of materials (though the majority is seed beads!) and beginner to more challenging. What a wonderful addition to a beading book collection.

I recently had the pleasure of reading (and drooling over) Jill

I recently had the pleasure of reading (and drooling over) Jill Wiseman's (of Tapestry Beads) new book, Beautiful Beaded Ropes, a book released by Lark Books. It's a stunning book full of many projects. What I like about this book is that it has something for everyone, from simple peyote ropes, like the Dancing Waves Necklace on pg. 47 to the much more intricate and advanced Abundance Necklace (the cover photo). This book will take you through them all.

Being a lampworker and a seedbeader myself, I also enjoyed seeing how she combined the 2 in her Falling For You Necklace on pg. 27. Definitely on my to do list. But I went ga ga over her Flirtation Bracelet on pg. 30. LOVE the dangling fringe on it! Such a great look!

Jill has put together a wonderful collection of designs that will surely
please the "beadiest" of eyes! I can hardly wait to begin my
first project from this book! It is far too difficult to name a
favorite, but I think I will try the "Forever Tango" bracelet
first. These projects all appear to be very Beader and Wearer friendly!
The illustrations are clear and easy to read, and the photos represent
    Jill's beadwork nicely!
