Overview

When it comes to dating, everyone makes mistakes. Rosa Blasi made hers with professional athletes . . . over and over again.

There was the hockey player (whose body part she mistook for a rolling pin), the basketball center (her karmic "grim reaper”), the baseball outfielder (a catch "on paper”...until she read too much about him in the papers), and finally the NFL running back who led her to athlete sobriety.

Over the course of ten years, actress Rosa Blasi had serious relationships with stars from several professional sports. And now she shares the intimate details of her wild journey with self-deprecating candor—offering juicy behind-the-scenes details of her romantic misadventures with jocks.

From sneaking into the Playboy Mansion to her debut spread in Maxim magazine, Rosa details with acerbic wit and raw honesty the surprising ups and sometimes frightening downs of dating sports "heroes." Jock Itch is an eye-opening and often hilarious cautionary tale guaranteed to make anyone contemplating a relationship with a pro athlete turn and run as fast as possible to the opposite end zone.

One of the most entertaining books I've ever read. Rosa Blasi ha

One of the most entertaining books I've ever read. Rosa Blasi has the amazing ability to make you laugh even as her life is being turned upside down. You know she's honest because she points out her own flaws. (We all have them, but how many of us will admit to them? And publicly - no less.) Loved peeking behind the scenes in the life of the professional athlete, a world few of us ever know much about. I highly recommend this book if you need to learn how to handle the crap dished out by the jerks around you. (Learn to laugh and move on.) I hope she writes a sequel.

    more from this reviewer

entertaining yet not what i expected

i had heard the author on the radio and what she "pitched" was only found at the beginning of each chapter. i was more interested in the lives of cheating athletes and their wives (as i heard on the radio) rather than Rosa on the hunt for the right sized athlete with right size "equipment" Quite honestly she was in the game long enough to know that men in that society wouldnt commit she fooled herself into believing other wise.

    FUNNY, but true

A good life tale about going for an egotistical jock, then getting stuck in a nightmare. A funny bio about life with me first jocks, who think the world revolves around them. Great, easy read.

    HA HA HA

This book is great!! I was a little optimistic at first but a friend of mine practically made me read it and I couldn't put it down was I was started. I feel like Rosa did an amazing job connecting with the reader and showing to all her fans that she is just as crazy as the rest of us. This book is a must read for anyone who has had relationship trouble or has been wronged by their partner, you will laugh your butt off and probably realize you don't actually have it that bad.

This book is a must read for anyone who has ever had relationship troubles or if you are just looking for a good laugh. So,for the sake of all mankind pick this book up and give it a read you will not be let down and you will not be able to put this book down.
