    A Nicely Written Book for Tweens and Teens

    Joey and Amber are a couple of likeable teenage kids from a fictitious small Ohio town. Together with their best friend Marty, a master magician and prankster, the kids explore one mystery after another. Does an ancient Roman coin give bad luck, can the school bully ever reform and did Granpa's ghost really appear in a photograph made with an old camera found in Amber's attic? This volume also includes a few other stories including "The Bridge," the strange tale of a twelve-yer-old boy's encounter with an evil apparition beneath a bridge near his rural home. All told, a very respectable effort by a new author. We can hope for an encore by this writer.
