Well-written and compelling, John & Ezekiel introduces John MacGregor when his life was essentially comfortable— loving wife, beautiful daughter, nice house, envied high-salary job. John’s only grievance was with churches that had lost the central Christian message of the gospels. Other than that, life is good.
Then John is laid off from his prestigious job and faces the devastating scenario that thousands upon thousands who can’t find employment are living today. The consequences that follow his unemployment will be relatable to anyone who has been unable to provide for the family that they so desperately wanted to, as are John’s emotional reactions to loss and powerlessness.
There is a lot packed into these 56 pages that will speak encouragement to anyone who is confronted with similar circumstances and will perhaps give those who are enjoying their comfortable life sympathy for a situation that no one is immune to.
