Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
This biography of one of our American heroes is part of the "Trailblazers of the Modern World" series in the World Almanac Library. It does a very competent job of chronicling the short life of John F. Kennedy. Photographs and excerpts from speeches are interspersed with the text. Some of the most interesting parts include the story of a harrowing rescue on the PT109, Kennedy's success as an author and his dedication to the civil rights movement. A glossary, timeline and further resources are provided as appendices. 2001, World Almanac Library, $26.60. Ages 9 to 14. Reviewer:Carol Lynch
