The first thing you should know is that this book is written in English and German so approximately 2/3 of the space used for text is German. The writing style is more descriptive rather than factual. Example: 'The cadence of the steps, deck, pool and contours creates a contraction and release of space that moves from the outside with subtle gradations of level into the main living space, ...'. I would have preferred more information about the architect and his reasons for choosing the design and materials used. However, the pictures are excellent. For the price, I think the book is a good value as an introduction to the work of John Lautner. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
