John Stuart Mill

He raised his son, John Stuart, in isolation from the rest of the children, and he received a rational upbringing. John learned Greek in the fifth year of his life, where he read the works of Herodotus and Plato, and learned Latin at nine, and at twelve he studied Aristotle and Hobbes's logic, and at thirteen he read Ricardo's Principles. His intellectual nourishment was carefully directed by his father and a mixture of natural science and classical literature, and when John reached fourteen, he had as much knowledge and knowledge as a man of thirty.
