Most Memorable read book in a long time

This book has it. Action, love story, heartbreaking moments, intrigue, conflicts, good guys v. bad guys, and moments that make you talk out loud in frustration to ask the characters, 'Why are you doing that?' This book exposes why you can't always believe what you read in the papers, the manipulative nature of some people, why good people sometimes do bad things, and how bad people sometimes do good things. This book shows how one decision can have immense and sometimes extreme ripple effects throughout the rest of one's life. Under similar circumstances, readers should ask themselves if they would have made the same initial choice as Johnny. Well done. I enjoyed this very much. This one stays on my bookshelf and is not available to be loaned out to anyone. Please write the sequel that is begging to be written.

    Wonderful

It is very touching and intriguing. It is the kind of book which makes you look at life in perspective. This book has many similarities to the Da Vinci code. They are actually almost sequels. There better be a series of these books to come because the Big Left Hook's writing style is matched only by JRR Tolkien.

one bad dude and one great new writer

This is a book you won't want to put down. The character's are like the friends we all had. Twists and turns, make for exciting reading.. The Big Left Hook scores a knock out with this book.

A unique novel, hard-hitting with gritty honesty

This author doesn't pull any punches in this fast-paced story that vicerally captures the experience of a young Irish boxer. The story is engrossing and the characters portrayed brillantly with unflinching honesty, transcend the typical idealized sterotypes common in action dramas .

    ENGROSSING

I found the book to be a touching love story as well as an inside look into the life of a human being who had tough times but was able to remain a figher all the way.It made me curious as to the author's real identity.Who could he be?
