Never Knew There Was So Much To Know

This book was given to me by my dear cousin. She knows I'm a Depp fan, and thought I'd find it interesting. Man was she ever more right? I don't think so.

I've seen upwards of 25 Johnny Depp films, and I've enjoyed nearly all of them. Each role has been different, and the main reason I wanted to read this book so much was so that I could learn more about the acting methods of the actor I look up to the most. I got what I wanted.

I admit, I've never seen it as my business to know anything about Johnny Depp other than his career in entertainment, I still found the information about his romances and scandles to be interesting. What I really read it for was to know more about him as an actor, and I seem to have hit exactly what I was looking for. There is so much that he puts into his profession and I have nothing but respect for him as an actor. It was fascinating and enthralling to learn about Ed Wood and The Libertine, and I even thought the images in the book were amazingly clear and well-chosen. It was well written, interesting and fun at the same time, and hardly ever a dull moment hopping from film to film.

The only thing I would change is the cover photo; while it is Mr. Depp's most famous role, it isn't him. It's Captain Jack Sparrow.

    wonderful book

I started reading this book and I could NOT put it down. It has to be one of the best books I have ever read. It got deep down and personal and made Johnny into a real person with real issues, not just a famous moviestar.
