    A reviewer

The Name of the book is Johnny Long Legs by Matt Christopher. The main charaters are Johnny, Jim, and Johnny's new step brother Toby. Johnny is pretty good at basketball, but can't jump to save his life. Jim is really good at basketball and can jump high. Toby is learning how to get better, he is okay at basketball. It is winter in their town called Lansburg. When Johnny's mom got married, he had to move to a new town. In this town, there was a kid named Jim Sain. He had no mother, so all the time he was trying to get attention even if that meant getting in trouble. Jim was a great athlete and Johnny struggled with jumping even though he was much taller than everyone. Over the basket ball season, Jim's house burned down and the two boys became good friends. Johnny even started jumping higher than Jim by the end of the season. I liked this story because it has to do with sports, and because of the theme. The theme is that you can help someone with problems even if you have your own and that you can always get better than you were before at something. I can connect to this book through sports and how Johnny gets better at jumping.

    AWESOME book

this book shows the struggle of becoming a good basketball player. And it also demonstrates that just because you are the tallest on the team don't mean you are the best.

A good book for sports fans

This book is an ok book and will keep you interested. The only reason i didn't give it 5 stars because johnny is expected to be a basketball and he is okay but not a star. And that is some how annoying. But i recommend this for people who like sports and sports books
