Overview

Jonas isn't the kind of guy to submit to the expectations of others, even when his life is on the line. So when he wakes up in the cell of a dungeon with torture devices hanging on the wall, he can only think one thing: this should be fun. What he didn't expect, however, is the beautiful but broken female pitting herself against his resolve. For once, the pain of his past is shallow in comparison to another, and he wants nothing more than to extinguish her pain.

When Sasha realizes one of her own has been taken, the gloves come off. Using her ever-expanding resources of both human and non-human magic workers, she sets out to battle the most advanced, most experienced magic worker in the world. Regardless of being completely outmatched, Sasha and Stefan rush to Jonas' aid.

You didn't see this coming! This book picks up where shadow watcher ended and the race to save Jonas is swift, fraught with peril, full of sex, laced with violence, and K.F. Breene's acerbic wit! We find out why Jonas is the way he is, why he is so loyal, and the journey to fulfillment it intense and dark as only Jonas likes it!

What a great Sci fi romance, another great spin on the theory of the paranormal. I read the first book and immediately bought the rest. I can hardly wait for the next one

I read this book and found it ok but if this is the end of the series im very disappointed!!! I am left with questions!! A good book gives the answers and leaving a reader with questions that the writer hinted on to keep a reader interested! Im not going to even look at the other books if this is going to happen.

Jonas found love?! Un-freaking-believable! I was so happy it happened though, his character made it seem almost impossible. Just proves love is out their for everyone! The story was great! As per usual with this series, it was action packed which keeps the reader going. Never wanting it to end. And of course it gets a little heated (duh!). this series has been wonderful and ended on a great note. Breene is spectacular and can't wait to see what she has up her sleeve next!

When KF Breene's Darkness Series began with book one, we were introduced to Jonas in Into the Darkness, so it is incredibly fitting that the final book in the arc of this excellent series features the final transformation of the enigmatic and wounded character of Jonas who finds  himself behind enemy lines and in the hands of the enemy. This book is full of action, intrigue, betrayal, brutality and hope --- highly recommended!  Personally, I love Jonas. As brutalized by this world and his particular society as he has been, he is at his core loyal, brave and good. Lucky for us and for Jonas, Breene's story, skills and her craft have also evolved even as her characters grew and changed through seven terrific books, producing an incredibly tight, remarkably vulnerable and beautifully written story. Jonas is a complex character defined not just by events but by the unique non-human world created by Breene, a world with distinct rules and inherent bias.  The relationship between Jonas and his torturer Emmy is beautiful, one of the best of its kind. The scenes between Jonas and Emmy are wickedly detailed and crafted with an incredible love and respect for people who are often misunderstood and stereotyped in media, people who desire pain and pleasure in the same package for whatever reason. Loved it!  I will miss this world, having fallen hard for Sasha, Stefan, Jonas, Charles, Tim and all the other glorious inhabitants of the Darkness Series. I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves fantasy, romance and dirty fun!!!

Epic  Old and new enemies and a new understanding of how the yin and yang of magic works well together. With Jonas missing and all trying to find him before he get killed.  Jonas’ tormentor (Emmy) is a woman who turns him on more than any other has.  Emmy is a captive herself, half human and treated like dirt.  Will Sasha and Stefan find Jonas in time?  And just who are they really up against.   This new magic worker that seems to be more than any they have ever come up against.  This is a fantastically well written story that was awesome to read.  And what an epic battle.  Could not put down once I started to read.

Yes! Finally! Jonas found him someone. I love Jonas, I have since On a Razors Edge. No, I didn't much care for him in Into the Darkness, but that was because of the circumstances. This dude won me over, I'm pretty sure he won everyone who has kept up with this series over. Everyone keeps saying they're sorry the series is over. I don't think it is. Breene left a big opening for the possibility of Charles getting a story at the end of Jonas. I could be wrong, of course, but I really really hope I'm not. I loved the story line here. I loved that Sasha wasn't willing to back down, and give up on finding Jonas. I liked Emmy as well. She's a bit of a mystery, shy and a little bit timid, until she gets a whip in her hand, then watch out. Honestly, I know this story was all about Jonas, but I would have loved to see more from Sasha and Stefan. Stefan especially. I'm satisfied, this was a great read. I can't wait to see what Breene comes up with next.

Jonas  by K. F. Breene    Jonas begins where Shadow Watcher stops.  Sasha and Stephen are actively seeking Jonas and where he has been taken.    Jonas wakes up in the clutches of the enemy and they think torturing him is going to make him give them information.  For Jonas this is foreplay and the lovely enemy they send to torture him could be his future mate.  Sasha has to pull on all the magic she can to rescue her guard Jonas and if she is going to win it will take everything she has and then some.  Will she be successful and save Jonas and Stephen’s group or will they be defeated.  You are going to have to read this one to find out.  It is full out magic and the hottest that Jonas has ever been.  Once I started it I couldn’t put it down.   Bella Doerres  Ma/Ed     Five Stars

A cat sat watchful in the shadows. Her eyes were the only things visible. One was green, the other a striking white. She was unsure about this group, and waited to hear more, tempted to join, but cautious all the same. She knew to trust no one.
