This is a life-changing book.

This book was awesome. But is was beyond awesome, somehow, more real than most books. It's about a who goes to Africa to help kids in poverty... and well, if you want this book to change your life, read it.

    Heartbreaking and Emotional

I read this book about 2 years ago. I loved (still do) Lurlene McDaniel's books. I picked up this book seeing, one, it was thick so it would last me a while. Two, it was from Lurlene McDaniel. I began reading it right away, and right away it had me hooked.
Book 1
Heather Barlow just graduated from high school, and she also just volunteered to go on a mission on a mercy ship. On the way she meets new friends and even a spark of romance with Ian McCollum, her new Scottish buddy.Once they get to Ugunda Heather is torn to pieces just seeing the misery and poverty. Ian helps comfort her and show her that they can help even if its one by one.
Book 2
Coming home distraught by Ian's death Heather Barlow has been left with no comfort. Coming home changed after really experiencing the pain and poverty in Africa, Heather comes home to her typical hoping they were too, touched by the situation. They were, but in their "hectic" life schedule, they didn't really seem to care. Amber, Heather's sister, is still shallow and really doesn't care and isn't really touched at all. After Heather gets a tragic disease it's up to Amber to finish Heather's unfinished task in Africa. The question is, can Amber grow up and really see what going on in the real world?
This is a heartbreaking novel that will absolutely capture you and make you cry, laugh, and everything in between. I suggest it for anybody who wants a good read. This book will touch the heart of the touphest rock and twist and turn the hearts of us softies. Please rate this review, Thank you!

My Favorite Book I've ever read my entire life!!!

This book is lurlene's best ever. Its really moving and will deeply touch your heart. I read this book when I was coming to terms with my faith and God and it completely changed my view on my life and I realize now how thankful He has been to me. Since im only 15 i could really relate to her...this book taught me how precious life is and you can change the world with one person at a time! 3

    My first Lurlene McDaniel book

I couldn't find a book I was interested in the book store so my friend handed me Angel of Mercy and then Angel of Hope. I instantly fell in love with these books, and now all i read are her books.

    An insperation

This book is about a 18 year old named Heather Barlow who goes on a mission trip to Africa to work in the make shift hospitals. It is highly inspiring, and brings up the question is it better to have loved and lost than to never have loved?
