Overview

Diane Craig Chechik’s chilling argument for pursuing a second opinion, Journey To Justice • A Woman’s True Story of Breast Cancer and Medical Malpractice is a must read for women; a gripping account of an ordinary woman’s extraordinary fight for life and for justice.

"Diane Craig Chechik went to her doctor for treatment. She trusted him. She believed in him. She's coming to you for justice."

With these words Diane Craig Chechik's attorney closed a lawsuit against the doctor she had trusted for 17 years. Three times, over 20 months, her doctor had assured her that the lump in her breast was not cancer. When another doctor diagnosed cancer, Diane required a mastectomy and some of the most advanced chemotherapy administered.

This book is Diane's account of her ordeal -- her journey -- from her first appointment after finding a lump, through her malpractice suit. In strong, personal tones, she writes about her fear of cancer and her passion for life. She shows that nothing, not even a recurrence of cancer, could stop her from fighting for life or for justice.

It is a journey that speaks to us all.

Editorial Reviews

Author Unknown
"What Chechik shares is a stunning insight for other women."
Doug Moe
"The writer Shelby Foote once remarked that survival is triumph enough. Of course, he never met Diane Craig Chechik. If anyone ever had a right to feel good just being around, it is Chechik...she is much more than a survivor."
Jackie Marchard
"Chechik is tough, smart, and brassy. She has written two books that, like her, pull no punches. She commands no less attention as a teller of a modern-day medical horror story."
Kathleen Poorman
"Must reading for women of all ages. The story is raw, but told with a pureness of truth for the situation. [These books] give insight how to handle the situation and the importance of early detection."
Marjorie North
"Her books are must-reads for everyone...a woman of rare courage, a passion for life, and a 'not me, you don't' attitude toward justice."
