"A wonderful book celebrating and showing the way to peace."
Posted June 14, 2003
The meditation is of and wrapped around the Stations of the Cross. There are some nice woodcuts to help with focusing and perhaps visualization. I found the book to be simple in the sense that it reminded me to start with gentle breathing and affirmations. It made sense that instead of or in addition to going to the Holy Land (and taking our lives in our hands)a pilgrim could do the Stations of the Cross. Equally valid I would suppose. 'When we live in the accord with his gospel, we discover that its message is countercultural...' Well yeah. Anyway it is a serious message what with Bernardin being accused of child molestation (he was found innocent)and then getting cancer. But it does not impose upon you. It is smooth reading except that i wanted to pause at flashes of faith. Like 'Trust Him. Let go' I thought I need to let go of the hurry of my life, of my short temper, etc. Thank You.
