Most people seem quite upset over the non traditional perforanaces of these works , especially Invention 13, with its slow tempo and rubato. Okay, maybe this isn't what Bach intended, but neither is Gould's playing 13 like a baroque "Flight of the Bumble Bee." I love Gould, but is he the only Bach player allowed any eccentric leeway?
