Editorial Reviews

School Library Journal - School Library Journal
Gr 8 Up While this brief introduction to Peron may provide some basic material for those researching his life, it is not the type of biography that one would read for enjoyment. The writing is uneven, lively in some places but dry and fact-laden in others. Likewise, the scattering of photos and quotations across the pages distracts readers' attention from the text itself. Al though an entire chapter is entitled ``Evita,'' only a few paragraphs therein are devoted to the woman whose story may be more interesting than Peron's (more information on her can be found in other sections of the book). Many of the photographs are of people and events only remotely related to the story. Those seek ing information on Peron the public figure will be well served; those interested in Pe ron the person will not. Dennis C. Tuck er, Bethel College, Mishawaka, Ind.
