    John Chatham delivers once again in this complete guide to a healthier lifestyle. This time covering the topic of juice fasting and the pros and cons associated with this choice. Switching to a diet of nothing but juice can shock the body creating many negative side effects. Despite the downside surviving on a diet of only juice has an upside as well. Chatham covers both sides in this informative book leaving readers to decide if a juicier lifestyle is right for them. If you have the time and money to invest, I highly recommend Juice, the complete guide to a positive lifestyle change. Aside from weight loss juicing can provide more energy and even a longer life, leaving users feeling great for longer.

    Chatham really works as an encouraging health mentor, instead of an author who rambles statistics. There’s a great combination of lively pictures, critical scientific information, recipes, and a breakdown of fruits and vegetables based upon their nutritional content. He actually tailors a lot of the recipes to specific ailments, although, he makes clear that there’s no overnight fixes. If there’s something that we can adopt into our lifestyle that helps to deter the onset of disease, improve mood, and brain function, I think there’s great benefit in pursuing that avenue. Especially when it’s natural, tastes great, and is economical! I’d recommend this to anyone interested in improving his/her own health, skin, mood, or to someone who’s in good health and looking to stay in good health!

    I had never really thought too much about adding juices to my diet until I stumbled upon this book. Chatham offers a well-organized, thoughtful argument on the benefits of juicing. For most people just adding a cup or two of vegetable and fruit juice to their diet can help improve their health and reduce the risk of cancer, stroke and heart disease. Aside from offering insightful information on the health benefits of juicing, he also provides 97 easy to make recipes. While I currently don't have a juicer yet, after reading this book I have started looking into the different models. Chatham even helps on this front as well by breaking down what features you will need based on your own juicing habits. I suggest this book to anyone who wants more information on what juicing really is and for some excellent recipes.

    Great read, worth every penny and every minute spent reading. Not only will you love this book, you’ll want friends and family to have it too. John Chatham’s Juicing: The Complete Guide to Juicing Juice for Weight-loss, Health and Life is just that, a complete guide to Juicing. After reading the book, you will understand the benefits of juicing, know which juicing plan is best for you, and will be anxious to see the fabulous results. This is a great book for starting out the new year. If you are looking for a healthier lifestyle, this book is for you!

    1/ For years I’ve been taking steps toward improving my health—eliminating meat, cutting back on dairy and gluten products, making a habit of exercise and so on. All along I’ve been hearing about “juicing” as the most efficient way of maintaining good health by infusing the bloodstream with healthy elements like fruits and vegetables. My problem was I didn’t know what it took. This book includes sections on everything from choosing the best equipment to the benefits of juicing specific fruits and veggies, all easily found at your local grocer’s. After following its simple recipes most of them consisting of about four familiar ingredients (Nothing against exotic foods, but I was relieved) for the last couple of weeks, I feel completely up to speed. I think the most important part of getting healthy is an awareness of one’s bodily well-being, and that’s what this book has given me. Another great one from author Chatham, whose books on the Paleo and Low Carb diets have already been so helpful in my progress toward health.

    Juice fasting, also known as “juicing,” involves drinking fruit and vegetable juices to promote good health, cleanse the digestive track, kick-start a diet, or boost the immune system. Author John Chatham explains that while juicing boosts your energy and improves cognitive function, it takes many physical and mental adjustments since the body is deprived of protein and fiber. Advice on separating fruits and veggies by color was helpful when beginning to fast. The Cranbeet Watermelon Juice is not only delicious but a definite energy boost. Chatham thoughtfully prepares anyone interested in detoxifying and improving their health.

    A Juicer's Bible!

    When I picked up this book, I was totally surprised by the sheer mass of information it contained on the health world! Not only is it a complete guide towards the holistic benefits of juicing fruits and vegetables, it also contains an endless amount of pages of juicing recipes for attacking a variety of ailments. My expectations were entirely exceeded when I read even further, and found page after page of nutritional facts on just about every fruit and vegetable out there! My health has truly been wholeheartedly changed for the better because of this guide!

    This is a pretty great book on the basics of juice fasting, with some awesome info about comparing blenders, different recipes for different ailments, and nutritional benefits of fruits, vegetables and herbs.

    My only criticism would be that I wish the author included scientific sources for the claims he is making about nutrition.  

    Other than that, it's great! :)

    Recommended if you are new and open to juice fasting and want to learn more :)

    Juicing 101

    Love this great book. Perfect how to guide to juicing because it is simple and easy to understand. I love how Chatham provides snippets of informative fruit and veggie facts throughout the whole book. Chatham gives you info about the types of juicers that are out there so you don't go head in and make a bad buying decision and even provides easy to follow recipes. All in all,  excellent for anyone getting on the healthy living bandwagon.

    Does Not Blend Well With Others.

    WAIT! Before you buy, the table of contents is misleading.

    For juice-juicing I suppose this book is great; however, in the chapter -specifically- about blenders versus juicers, there is nothing about blenders other than a paragraph or two of what a blender is & a solitary sentence with the word "fiber" in it. There are pages upon pages on juicer types, how they work & how to maintain them.

    That isn't a fair comparison of blenders & juicers at all. Why they even bother to mention blenders in a chapter heading is beyond me. There aren't any notes on adapting recipes for blending so its completely useless. I'll be contacting the publisher for a refund because I certainly won't be returning my Ninja.

    Juicing has become a natural way to build your immune system, maintain a healthy lifestyle and understand what your body needs on a day to day basis. There are many advantages to learning the process of juicing and how to adapt your lifestyle, and learning how to build a healthy diet on an everyday basis to improve your life.
    Juicing can be fun, a family event for everyone to enjoy and can add years to your life when done correctly. This book has helped me, my family and my friends and I have been positively affected by the new processes of juicing I have added to my life.

    I am not exactly a health food kind'a girl but, now that I'm in my 40's, it became clear to me that I had to make some changes. I figured, the most palatable way to pack nutrients was by juicing. I bought "JUICING: The Complete Guide to Juicing for Weight Loss, Health, and Life" and it turned out to be the best choice ever! Not only is it packed with easy recipes that target specific health concerns, but it also teaches you the various juicing options and their benefits. I highly recommend this book!

    Before I read this book, I never really understood the whole concept of a juice fast or a juice cleanse. Now I get it. Included are lots of juicing recipes, including ones for curing the common cold, helping with arthritis pain, liver health, and things like that. The section on how to pick a juicing machine is very thorough and helpful.

    This book is an informative, easy to read guide for how to juice, what to juice and why to juice.  It includes helpful information for choosing the right juicer as well as the most beneficial fruits and vegetables for juicing.  Chatham includes recipes that are beneficial for combating different illnesses and for juice cleansing.

    I was fascinated to learn that although fiber is good for me, it locks in the vitamins and nutrients that my body needs and they are eliminated along with the fiber! But, by juicing I my body can actually access those needed nutrients. This was a very informative, easy to read and well written book. I can’t wait to get started with my fast.

This book has a lot of recipes and plenty of explanations as to why you should use the combinations suggested. Lots of trivia and relevant information. Great for newbies and the experienced juicer.

    Juicing: the Complete Guide to Weight Loss, Health and Life is a pretty comprehensive guide to he benefits of juicing, with nearly a hundred tasty easy recipes to try. One of the best features is the guide to buying a juicer, with commonsense questions to help narrow down options. It also shows how juicing can help specific health conditions – but the focus on juice fasting and cleansing might turn off readers who just want to add juice to their diet.
