Overview

Little Walter expanded and modernized the role of the harmonica in pop music, creating the very template for the explosive use of the harp in electric Chicago blues, first as a headlining sideman in Muddy Waters' band, and then later as a bandleader himself. This set gathers some of his key and signature Chess and Checker sides, including a pair of number ones, 1952's "Juke" and 1955's "My Babe."
