    My Videos OK now!

    Update on videos..They work for me now, at B&N STORE, with its strong Wi-Fi connection. ! LOVE this app and Julia !

    Not for Readers or iPads - Nook Tablets ONLY

    I wish I'd known that before bothering to be disappointed. I'm a new Nook customer and thought pulling this out of my Library on my iPad like I do my books would be fun. No - this is ONLY for the Nook Color Tablets (the customer service guy from India tells me) Somehow I must have missed that on the intro. I won't be buying any apps from B&N.

    Videos play fine

    I love this app...and it works perfectly fine. Not sure what others are referring to, I am using a 16g tablet. Videos are great! RECIPES AND PHOTOS look delicious. I can't wait to try them!

    Videos won't load!!

    Love this app, and the recipe selections are wonderful. SO disappointing that the videos don't load and play correctly. Earlier reviews warned me but I bought it anyway. You probably shouldn't unless this gets fixed.

    Disappointed that this did not work on my NOOK :(

    I already own hard copies of Julia's masterpiece, but I chose to purchase this on my Nook to see the video cooking instructions. Unfortunately,the videos did not work and the recipes were not formatted correctly, missing ingredients and repeating the same information. Very, very disappointed.

    Cant view videos

    Has so much potential if it only would work! Love the recipes, shopping lists, but very disappointed that videos wont play on my color nook.

    needs improvement

    It would be rated higher if it worked. The videos do not work. But the other parts of the app is very good. I can't give it higher till the video works. If it couldn't work on the color nook, there should have been a warning to possible purchasers.

    Love it...even though video doesn't work.

    I love everything about her books. I watched her faithfully as when I was young and loved her every weekend on PBS. I do miss her.
    But no video. What a disapointment.

    Buy this with caution - the videos may not work on your NOOK Color!

    The videos that are a big part of this app will not load on my NOOK Color. The clerk at the Barnes and Noble store tried everything she could think of to fix the problem but nothing worked. Her only suggestion was for me to call the NOOK support line and I have not had time to do that yet. The ability to view the videos was a factor in my choosing to purchase the app and I had read previous customer reviews of the product and realized some people had had this problem with the videos. I was optimistic about deciding to take a chance on it anyway but wish I had heeded their cautions.

    Videos will not play. Just wasted $5.00

    There are a handful of Julia's recipes but I really purchased this for the instructional videos of Julia Child explaining some of the techniques. I have a Nook Color and the videos will NOT play. Very disappointed.

    For the love of Julia

    I purchased this as a nook book and then when faced with a long drive I purchased it again as an audio book. I am glad that it worked out that way because I would never have finished reading it. This book has more arcane facts about Julia than most. I enjoyed it to the end and actually shed a tear when Julia died. The book shows the Julia we have always known and the Julia we haven't known. This is a delicious and filling book to be savored.

    Love Julia - Don't care for the Nook App

    The videos, which were the main reason for purchasing this app, worked for 2 days. I have not been able to view them since. I get a "Sorry, this video cannot play" error. I have online access, so that isn't the problem. I've reset my nook, updated, plugged it into my computer. Can't seem to get any help with it. So I would not recommend this as a nook application. Really a shame, I was REALLY excited about watching the videos in the kitchen while I cook!
