In honor of writing my 50th book this year, each new novel of 2010 will feature an unpublished author's short story. Introducing Edward Kendrick's erotic tale;
BETWEEN A STONE AND A HARD PLACE
I hope you enjoy it.

I actually found this story a bit disturbing, and I felt dirty afterwards. Rather than being a sweet story about two people who need someone to love, it felt psychotic, obsessive, unrealistic, and just plain wrong. The characters were twisted and pretty messed up-- each in their own ways, and the sexual situations... well, it was gross. Like I was reading someone's pedo/child-porn/exibitionist fantasy. I had to skip a lot, and couldn't even shake the sick feeling afterwards. I only read the end because I was hoping for a moral, or a point of some sort. But no... unless the point is that it is okay to be a pedophile and an exibitionist, when you're supposed to be caring for your underaged adoptee in a non-sexual way. Seriously, I felt like I needed a few gallons of bleach afterward. Maybe if he was 17 it wouldn't have been *as* bad, but I'm pretty sure he's 15 the whole way through. It was just a little too far past my moral boundaries.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

I love GA Houser's books, but in this one Bryan's foster son is only 15 yrs. old, and problems arise due to his age and other circumstances.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
