Jumpin’ Jive – too long out of print – is a must have for any fan of jazz. This is such an immediately infectious and charming album chock full of bright clear shining examples of how wonderful “hot” swing music is. This album combines an almost alchemical mix of searing hot riffs and jams into shorter song accommodation formats that will please any listener. Often, efforts like these forsake the musician's talent for the vocalist’s sake, or vice versa. Not here. Everyone shines. If there is a down side to this album, it’s that there are still only the original 12 cuts on the CD. But what a 12 they are! Sashay on down and grab this coaster. Dig the righteous riffs, Jack, it’ll hep ya.
