Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
For those of you who are still stubbornly resisting reading children's books, you must at least give this one to every humbug on your Christmas list, or to the people who kind of make you think about fruitcake. This title by the incomparable Barbara Park is the perfect present for your doctor or the paperboy, or any seven-year-old you know or can borrow. In this laugh-out-loud book, Junie B. and her arch-enemy, May, are battling (as usual) and then along comes the Secret Santa thing in the classroom. Junie B. has her shopping list completed, including tattoos and a fart/burper hand-held device. May, of course, tells Junie B. she is enormously shellfish, and the story (I absolutely cannot give it away) ends up so great, you will cry. So go buy about ten copies of this for Emergency Gifting. It is far better than fruitcake. Junie B. is the "bestest." It even has a ribbon bookmark sewn into the binding. 2005, Random House, Ages 7 to 10.

    Great for younger readers

My daughter Tayler is now in the 1st grade and still loves Junie B. Jones. The series actually does help teach children how not to act; Junie B gets in a lot of trouble in many funny ways. The stories show children how they can be in funny and entertaining ways. It can be entertaining for adults too. Well worth the price.

    Cute Read

Our granddaughter was looking forward to receiving this book - I think one of her friends told her it was good so when we gave this book to her she said she was hoping we purchased this book for her.

This series is great for young children - our grandaughter reads them over & over again she enjoys them so much.

We've purchased a night stand with shelves to keep books in - she was thrilled with that gift since all her books are now in one area.

I push May off the sleigh ,and then I drive away! Hey!

My favorite charactacter is Junie B. because she is funny. She changed the words to Jingle Bells. Also she has to be May¿s Secret Santa, and plans to put coal in her Secret Santa bag! It¿s a perfect idea! She tries it! Or does she?

My daughter became an avid Junie B. reader when she was 6. This

My daughter became an avid Junie B. reader when she was 6. This was her favorite book, and still is today, almost 3 years later! Even though she is beginning to branch out to other series, this particular book always finds its way back into rotation. She knows it by heart almost and will go around singing Christmas Carols, even in the middle of summer.
