From the Hardcover edition.
When her father will not let her stay up late to do her homework, first grader Junie B. copies a classmate's paper.
On Monday morning, Mr. Scary asks the Room One kids to read their homework essay assignments to the class, but unfortunately, Junie B. hasn't done hers. So when May leaves her desk -- with her essay lying in plain view -- Junie decides to copy it. Of course, Mr. Scary finds out (both girls' weekends are oddly similar) and a shamefaced Junie has to fess up. Has she learned a lesson? In typical Junie B. fashion, nothing in her life comes without a twist. When good "pallie" Herbert later shows her an answer during a spelling test, the two clear their "cheater pants" consciences by telling the truth.
Parks has done it again with this hilarious Junie B. book that hits the mark. Kids will groan when they see Junie cheating because they know what's to come, while parents will appreciate Mr. Scary's handling of the situation (he expresses his appreciation for their honesty, but she and Herbert still get zeroes). Teaching readers that cheaters never prosper is clear yet lighthearted with Junie setting the example. Matt Warner

Junie B. Jones can be very VERY funny sometimes . I feel sad that Junie B. has to get glasses. When tattletale May talks ,it is kind of annoying so I'm on Junie B.'s side on hating May.

Even though it's a children¿s book, it was wonderfully written! The way Barbara Park paints the picture in my head is awesome!! The words she uses are at a child¿s level, but they are fun for the older kids to read as well! The length of the book is short for an older kid, but I still enjoy reading it in my spare time! I especially learned a great lesson about why someone shouldn't cheat. Barbara Park has always had a way with teaching valuable lessons through her fun and interesting books.

Although we read many of the books in the series and enjoy them this one caused BIG TROUBLE! From reading this book, our six year old daughter got the idea it is okay to cheat because there was no real 'punishment' for Junie B. and thought the same would happen for her. My six year old tried to cheat on a 1st grade spelling test, parents and teachers beware!

Now, you know guys. Has Barbara Park ever written a bad book? No! We pretty much have everyone of her books. We love to read these together as a family. Even the parents can visualize what is goin on in her class. And by reading it, you can simply feel her tone, mood, personality. Another masterpiece!

Overview
Junie B. Jones has all the answers when it comes to cheating. It’s just plain wrong! But what about copying someone else’s homework? That’s not cheating, right? ’Cause homework isn’t even a test! And speaking oftests . . . what if a friend shares an answer that you didn’t even ask for? Sharing definitely isn’t cheating . . . is it? Uh-oh. Maybe this cheating business is more complicated than Junie B. thought. Could she be a cheater pants and not even know it?
