    The Seasons~1

The last thing I remember was getting swallowed by an ice tornado. I woke up in the hospital, on life support. My name is Maya Knightly. I have black, curly hair and unusual purple eyes. On the night of my acciedent, I had just watched a movie with my friends: Taylor and Tylor Simmons, Alexus Roe, and Nathen Cuse. I live in Pittsburgh, in a cozy apartment with my dad and younger sister, Kayla. The ice tornado had come from nowhere and swirled around me. An ice chunk hit the side of my head. I blacked out. In the hospital, my head had no bump but it pounded hard and it felt like someone had thrown a rock at it. I sat up and saw my father in a couch reading the newspaper. He looked worried." Hi, daddy!", I croaked." Hey, Maya! How do you feel?", he smiled and reveiled pointy teeth." Um... whats wrong with your teeth?" " Oh dear! This is how my teeth always are... when I'm hungry." He lept out of the chair and on to the bed. I tried to run but he grabbed my arm and pulled me back in the bed. He fastened the plastic clamps on my wrists. He transformed into a werewolf. He had a long snout, a fuzzy tail, and claws. He layed his claws around my neck and got ready to slit my throat." Such a pity I couldn't torture you. You would've been begging me to be my slave instead of what you have in store." Instead of killing me, he threw me out the window. I fell sixteen stories and got ready to be spread across the concert that awaited me.~~~~~~~~ Thanks for reading! ~ MegaUltra

    Story Contest Entry

    Anna Delrose, a History
    ____________________
"Whoa," says Mrs. Lertin, my English teacher. "Um, should you go to the nurse or something, Anna, sweetie?" I breathe deeply. I pretty much just screamed my head off at her for making a mistake in the wording of a Greek myth. Mrs. Lertin is perfect. She wears pink every day, has a pink, neat office and does not tolerate misbehavior. Kind of life that Professor Umbridge in the book she assigned us for our next project. "Um, sure," I say. My friend Lynn walks beside me out the door. Lynn uses crutches. She has some sort of leg disorder, she says, but I have my suspicions... Lynn tells me to calm it. We need to go see my dad apparently. We walk out the school building quickly. Lynn looks around like something's going to attack us. Then, suddenly, something does! A winged dog. But those teeth. Ugh. I jump in front of Lynn, but I hear a sugary voice behind me. "Down, Alecto, dear." It's Mrs. Lertin. She suddenly goes through some sort of transformatoin. She turns into a giant monster with a spiked tail that is every color known to mankind except pink. Who would've known? Lynn and I run for it, with Mrs. Monster bearing down on us. Lynn throws her crutches into the river beside us and takes off her pants (ew), but then I see her legs. They're furry. Lyn yells to me, "Come on!" She doesn't sound much like a she anymore. Then I realize. A satyr. The satyr throws off a wig and pulls me down the street to Dad's and my apartment. We get there and run in. My dad gasps. "But--but Logan. It can't possibly be time yet!" Logan the satyr nods. Oh, it's time, all right." My dad takes a deep breath and leads us to the basement. We see all the regular junk. Mirrors, trunks, clothes, trinkets, and those things. Dad leads us to a circular mirror that says to pull. The kind you'd assume was a forgotten souvenir or something. My dad pushes me in. Wait, in? I see what looks like Athena. She toucges my forehead, and I land with a thunk in a wooden house. A quest....A quest..... A quest! I hear a voice influencing me. I must go on a quest. Apparently I have to choose two people from this place to accompany me. I run outside. Wow. It's really pretty out here. Everyone just has fun, it looks like. I see Logan. He says hi. I reply, "Hey." I obviously choose him. I look around and see a blond girl who could be my twin training. It's like she has superpowers. I think I have my two people. I take Blondie and Logan out of the camp and relay my story to Blondie with Logan filling in his side of it. We feel a shakink. The ground forms into huge letters. Logan speaks up. "I dunno about you guys, but I think we have a lead."
