Overview

Welcome, dear readers, to the mesmerizing world of the Jurassic period. The Jurassic period is the second of three periods of the Mesozoic Era. The Jurassic began approximately 201.4 million years ago with the ending of the Triassic period and ended around 145 million years ago with the beginning of the Cretaceous period. Famous dinosaurs of the Jurassic include Allosaurus, Diplodocus, Stegosaurus, and Brachiosaurus which lived on land, Pterosaurs ruled the skies, and Plesiosaurs, Ichthyosaurs, Cephalopods, and Ammonites which lived in the seas. We also see the evolution of avian species such as Archaeopteryx and Eosinopyeryx.
