I was wrapped in this story of courage and survival against insurmountable odds. This author has remarkable abilities to take you there and hold your attention throughout.

I feel like this book--just an accident -tells everything like it is--from start to present time--no holes barred--it gives the reader much courage in their lives and gives them hope in their situation in life--I would reccomend that every person with a spinal affliction should read this as a reccomended reading from their Doctor. I truly think Amy Montgomery hit every aspect of what Scott's life was and now is. Great job. I can't imagine the daily routine he goes through day in and day out, even though I am part of the family. I had to put the book down on many occasions, very touching.

Amy Montgomery did an excellent job capturing my brother's accident and the reality of what life is like as a paraplegic. Although, it was painful to relive this part of our lives, I know it will only benefit others. For those looking to see what life is really like for those who can't walk, this is your book.
