More Than Words: Bestselling authors&Real-life heroines

Each year, the Harlequin More Than Words award is given to three women who have worked hard to change people's lives for the better. Inspired by their accomplishments, three bestselling authors have written stories to honor these real-life heroines.

In Just Joe, Stacy Donovan is willing to do whatever it takes to save her charity, Bounties from the Gardens. Families in need are counting on her organization for fresh fruits and vegetables. Running the charity has always been Stacy's dream, and if winning a local dance competition will keep her dream alive, that's what she'll do.

After years of being consumed by work, Joe Carpenter has discovered a new passion: giving back to the community. He's started to volunteer at Bounties from the Gardens, and he's falling for the beautiful, dedicated Stacy. But Stacy is so focused on looking after her charity, she might miss the fact that Joe is just the person to watch over her heart.

I dont know if this book was the greatest. I read the other books that were free. I liked them alot. But maybe since i read them back to back all these love stories may have been too mushy. I didnt like how she couldnt trust him. I cant stand when ppl compare others from some douche who was never good to begin with. But if he could put up with it then power to him.

Great message in this book to always help others but there was just no spark between the characters. The book is missing that extra something special. Overall, not a bad read just not a great one.

I wish once in a while a romance would not have a child die or a sibling or parents die. A lot of times it seems the more deaths, the happier the author. This book has 81 pages, only 61 of them pertain to the story. So, it it is very short. As usual it is the heroine with the bad, immature attitude and a huge chip on her poor, over loaded shoulders. The hero as usual, is misunderstood, and oh so forgiving, while he grovels at her feet. No sex, lots of angst. Lots of drama, lots of accusations and misunderstandings. forgiveness. Happily ever after. As usual. No preaching, no cursing, and no recommendation from me, unless it is skip this one. Well edited. Ages 14 and up. Younger readers would like this short, better then the more mature readers. AD

Charming little short story. The pace moved quickly, of course, but there was also a good bit of back story to flesh out the characters. An entertaining hour or so.
