"Michael," she said in a dreamy, contented voice. "Where did you get these extra blankets?"

"They were on the sofa."

Maddy opened her eyes. "But those were for you. You'll never be able to keep warm with just a sheet."

"I'll be okay, Maddy," he said, teeth chattering. Just get some sleep."

"Listen to you, you're freezing to death. I'll never be able to sleep knowing I took your blankets." She sighed. "Get in the bed, Michael. Hurry, before you catch pneumonia."

He stared at her, slack-jawed, wondering if he'd heard right. "What did you say?"

She pulled the covers aside. "Get in. We'll have to sleep close so we can share our body heat." When he simply stood there, she gave an impatient huff. "Don't just stand there looking at me as though I've grown horns. We're talking survival here."

Michael nodded dumbly and climbed into bed, burrowing beneath the blankets. She turned her back to him and scooted close so they were lying spoon fashion. As he lay there, pressed against her softess, enveloped in her scent, only one coherent thought entered his mind.

Eureka!

Just Married Again is a sweet second chance romance. Michael is a workaholic and Maddy has had it. They have been separated almost a year and she will soon be able to file for divorce. This will be her first Thanksgiving without Michael. She heads to their mountain cabin to get through it. Michaels doctor tells him if he doesn’t slow down he will soon stroke out. He prescribes a vacation so Michael heads to the mountain cabin. The rest is pretty predictable but it is told in such a fun way you won’t want to put it down. Read in private so your giggle-snorts won’t embarrass you. Complimentary copy provided by author/publisher for an honest review

I read, and this review is for, an updated release of this title. "Just Married Again" is a sweet second chance romance. Michael and Maddy have been married for almost six years, but Michael's workaholic tendencies put a strain on the once passionate romance. Eventually the situation came to a head and Maddy felt she had no choice but to walk way. After nearly a year of separation, the machinations of an old family doctor strand the couple in their cabin with Michael's nephew and Maddy's dachshunds. What follows is a heartfelt story of love and reconciliations. "Just Married Again" is well written, though at times the attempt at comedy falls a bit flat. I am a reader who loves angst and drama in my romance novels, and this one offered enough of both to keep me coming back to the end.
