What would you do if the gynecologist subbing for your regular doctor turned out to be your old high school crush? Successful psychologist Dr. Jennifer Monroe does what any normal, well-adjusted woman would do. She makes an excuse to send the doctor and nurse from the room, dives into her clothes, and flees!

Unfortunately, her running away makes conscientious Dr. Matt Penrose conclude she has some kind of sexual hangup. For her health, he's determined to refer her to another doctor, but she refuses to take his calls. He's determined to talk to her so he can suggest counseling for what he thinks are emotional problems.

Jennifer plans to never see him again. Dallas is a big city. What are the odds that she'll ever run into him? Even money when Fate lends a hand.

When Jennifer and Matt meet at a charity gala, he earnestly urges her to seek professional help. Jennifer is incensed that he thinks she's some frigid old maid--and that he doesn't remember her. All the old high school resentment floods back, fueling her determination to teach him a lesson he won't soon forget. You know what they say about payback!

Kids play doctor, but these doctors play seduction games, and they're playing for keeps. Will Matt recognize Jennifer? Will Jennifer lure him into her bed? This payback is smoking hot!

Chock full of Romance and Sex as well as Romance Humor, Just One Look was originally print published. This expanded and updated Ebook Edition contains a Linked Table of Contents and these Bonus Features: Joan's Book List, Novel Excerpts, and the Quotation Collection: Woman's Perspective on Sex, Love, and Life.

Jennifer Monroe's regular ob-gyn is out of the office...she's about to be seen by the new guy but when she realizes that it's her high school crush...the guy who humiliated her so many years before, she flees....Romance novels are formulaic, of course. He loves her, and she loves him, but her insecurities drive her crazy...this novel manages to replace the angst with humor and spirit...resulting in...(a) fun read.... Recommended!

Totally hilarious for me. What are the odds of going for an annual GYN exam and finding out that the MD covering her regular physician was her high school crush, who doesn't even recognize her 15 years later. Of course, she promptly dismounts from the stirrups, flees in a panic leaving the good doctor completely baffled, but fate would have them meeting yet again. So he sets out to cure what he perceives as frigidity. I couldn't stop laughing.

Joan Reeves' JUST ONE LOOK, it's funny as hell, too.

We all have a memory of that special someone in high school, the one who turned us into knots and ultimately broke our hearts. For psychologist Jennifer Monroe, that memory comes in the drop-dead-gorgeous package of gynecologist Dr. Matt Penrose. But her unexpected encounter with the good doctor, 15 years after they broke up, is the stuff nightmares are made of. There's a last minute doctor substitution at the office where Jennifer go

Joan Reeves knows how to tell a sexy, totally tit-for-tat, love story. You'll laugh out loud over Dr. Jen's antics and retribution for the handsome Dr. Matt Penrose.

Don't we all have some high school memories that are never forgotten. But Jen certainly knows how to create new memories with Matt.

The writing is fun, crisp and the dialogue sexy. Here's a story and characters that will linger long after the book is over...in fact, you'll read it again and again. I know I did!

Meet the Author

Joan Reeves is a bestselling ebook author of Contemporary Romance. In her spare time, she's a mild-mannered reporter for the Daily Planet who--no, wait, that's someone else.

Seriously? Okay, if we must be serious. Joan Reeves is a multi-published print and ebook author. She's also published all over the web under her own name, various pseudonyms, and as a ghost. Since 2005, she's published SlingWords, a Blogspot blog.

Joan writes Romance that's sexy and has a lot of humor because she thinks the world needs more love and laughter. She lives in the Lone Star State with her hero who thinks she's fabulous. (She KNOWS he is.) They have four kids who think they are adults and a ghost dog--all the ingredients for a life full of love and warmed by laughter.

Joan writes because she's too young for Social Security and too old to learn how to ask: "Do you want fries with that?"

Her Motto? "It's never too late to live happily ever after."

    What a treat!

I loved this book! If you haven't read JUST ONE LOOK, you're missing out on a great story. It's humorous, sexy to the max, and just plain entertaining. I read it on a blah afternoon, and it was an instant day brightener. I'm now going to look up Joan Reeves' backlist. If this is an example of the type of story she tells, I want to get every one of them!
