Overview

NEW YORK TIMES and USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR, ELLE CASEY, brings readers Part 1 in the 6-part contemporary romance serial novel, JUST ONE NIGHT.

Jennifer is sexually frustrated and disillusioned with love, a very dangerous combination. Convinced there's no such thing as Prince Charming, and against her best friend's better judgment, she places a personal ad seeking a one-night stand. No strings, no commitments, no second dates. Her goal? To restore her faith in men by setting up a single night of fantasy that can never be tainted by reality.

William is a busy executive, newly arrived in the United States from England. Life for him is all about minimizing complications. He doesn't have the time nor the inclination to share his life with anyone, to have obligations outside of work, or to become entangled in a relationship with an emotional basket case of a woman who's desperately seeking her Prince Charming. But he does see the value in having an attractive woman on his arm for networking purposes ...

**This ebook is Part 1 of the contemporary romance serial novel, JUST ONE NIGHT, approximately 25,000 words or 100 paper pages long. The story continues with Parts 2-6.**

Content warning: Due to sexy situations and content, this book is definitely not appropriate for younger readers.

About this serial: Hello readers! I had such a great time writing this serial. Like you, I had no idea what was going to happen from one part to the next. I didn't even know how many parts there would be. It was great having all the feedback from my readers as each part was released; it definitely influenced the end result. Edward's story, JUST ONE WEEK, is coming soon. Find out more at ElleCasey.com/JOW_Nook.

Not usually a reader of serial books but this one is an exception. Loved the chemistry between Jennifer and William. Parts of the book are laugh out loud funny. The British sense of humor is down pat. Really worth the time to read the 87 pages.

I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with this one. I actually liked it a lot more than I thought I would. I always know I'm going to enjoy this authors characters but still, it's a little bit scary when an author you love does something new.  I mean I love New Adult Romances and even a little bit of Contemporary Romance but serials can be very hit and miss with me. On one hand I enjoy reading a small-format story that will be continued every few weeks or so. It can be fun and exciting when it's done well.  On the other hand I hate waiting for each new story. Also by their very definition serials usually end in some sort of cliffhanger or at the very least in a fashion that leaves you wanting more and that can be pure agony at times.  So I had to ask myself: Do you want more? You betcha! Did it leave off right when it was starting to get exciting? Sort of but not really, the whole story was exciting.  Did it end in a horrible cliffhanger?  Not really, at least not by my definition of a cliffhanger although yours may be different.  Am I eagerly awaiting the next episode?  My answer to that is: Do women find British accents hot?  Yes and Yes! From the moment Jennifer and William meet you can literally see the sparks flying. The two have a natural chemistry together that goes well beyond physical attraction although their attraction to each other helps and is what gets things started. The rest of the story seems to be something straight out of a fairy tale. Cinderella to be exact and the reality of Jennifer's just one night turns out to be greater than her wildest fantasies. Their first kiss is just hot! The sexual tension between the two of them just continually rises throughout the story until it all comes to a head (no pun intended) in one explosive moment. I'm not usually one for a lot of descriptive sex in my stories and I rarely enjoy it unless it's there to really enhance the characters and the storyline itself. I felt that Elle Casey did an outstanding job in this department. Their encounter felt real. I don't want to get into the specifics of anything but I really enjoyed the way it played out. I was really afraid that she might do what so many romance authors do which is just too much and too long. Instead their supposed one night together just fit the story and the situation so perfectly. It wasn't there just to fill pages or to add more content. It was just a part of the story that enhanced it dramatically. Just One Night is both sexy and fun and I feel that Elle Casey has really reached a new height with this one. I think her sexy scenes are getting better and they were already great to begin with but this one just felt so right and I loved how she was able to make you feel the tension and excitement that was in the air. I just can't wait to read the next one. I want to know what happens and I want to know now!  I want to read as fate pulls Jennifer and William together. It was apparent  to me from the very first moment that they laid eyes on each other that this was going to be so much more than either of them bargained for. It might not be what they thought they wanted but for whatever reason all of the stars in the universe aligned perfectly on this one night just for them and I can't wait to find out how destiny pulls them together.

First, I hate when authors write really short story so you have to buy 6 or 7 books.. when all you really need is about 2 or 3 but this author was different she explained " why" she wrote in this form or type of style book: she gives us classic examples of Shakespeare sonnets..blah blah stop being greedy ,,with that said I believe this author could get a second job as a sitcom comedy writer…her writing was very funny. This book was refreshing. good and written with a modern flare, but Ms Meechum the main character cooky assistant should get her own book. "Oh my effin God" she had me laughing out loud..loved her!!! Ms Meechum tries to get her boss a very stuffy british gent to bring a blind date ( via a personal ad- you can see where that will go) with him to a fundraiser..fate steps in and they meet and click, umm spark fly and the short story ends.. on to book 2

This is a well written, fast paced tale to satisfy the reader who may not have time or desire to delve into a large book. Elle Casey brought the same fulfillment she stocks in all her writings concentrated into a satiating lunch hour. I was able to focus once returning to work, instead of my head and heart wanting to probe beyond my ever altering bookmark. We'll done and thank you E.C.

Just One Night Part 1 is the first book in the serial novella Just One Night by Elle Casey. I haven’t read but a couple of these serial novellas in the past but it amazes me how much Elle Casey has managed to fit into this short little book. We are introduced to both William and Jennifer and in the span of these pages, I am in love with them both. William is a Brit who is now living and working in the U.S. He has taken over his father’s Real Estate Investment firm and his work is what he lives for. He has been grooming himself for this moment his entire life. Contrary to his younger playboy brother, William lives, sleeps and eats his job. This leaves little time for a romantic life. He has no time or interest in that. But with an important charity ball a week away, he answers a classified ad for one night, just one night of fantasy, then they will never contact one another again. But what if she looks like Medusa? Still, he is intrigued. Jennifer has just gotten out of an eight year relationship and she ended up deeply hurt. She wants to feel desirable again, to feel like a woman again, so against her better judgement, she places an ad for just one night. As soon as William called her she was melted by his accent. So she decided to meet him. Little did she expect for William to sweep her up in a night that made her feel like a real life Cinderella and William was her prince charming. Or is it Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman? This night is turning out to be so much more than anything she could have ever expected. “I’m already regretting its end and we haven’t even really started yet.” It is evident that both of these people feel something more than they can accept in just one night. But still, that is the agreement. No strings, no second dates. So can they both really just walk away? I loved this. I couldn’t help but to love both William and Jennifer. William with all his crispiness and cool exterior actually had a fantastic dry humor and my, oh my, when the cuff links come off, he turns into a beast. I can’t wait to see what comes next in this series.

This a great story. I have read 1 through 4 BUT CAN'T GET 5 AND 6 WHICH HAS BEEN OUT SINCE JUNE 10 AND JUNE 26TH. WHY DOESN'T B&N HAVE THOSE FOR OUR NOOK YET ??????????? Amazon and Google Play have them, I think it is time for a Kindle even though I have 436 books in two years on my Nook. That's a lot of business in my book !
